Tips For Travel

-The Bride & Groom’s reservation at the resort is for November 9-13th; please arrive and depart whenever you feel best for you.

- First time abroad travelers please remember that once you deplane, you will need to go straight to Immigration.
The lines may be long, but please have at least one to two people (depending on your group size) stay in line at all times.
Once you get to the front, all people in one family can approach the official together.
Have you’re passports ready, and immigration form in hand (if applicable).
For those arriving at around the same time, be on the lookout for each other so that we can get in line with each other, like the family we are ;-).

-Once you land at CUN and move through immigration, follow the instructions given for transportation to the resort, and do not stop for vendors outside of the terminal.

-Mexico does not widely accept the Discover credit card, please utilize a Visa or Mastercard for hotel incidentals (hold of $200)

-Mexican chefs cook authentic foods, if you have particular taste buds, please bring your favorite mini condiments (under 4 oz- hot sauce, dressing, seasonings, etc.) to utilize while at the resort.

-Bring some cash to tip servers with outstanding services, if you're moved to (USD okay, no need to exchange for currency if you don't want to). ($1 USD= $18 MX Pesos)

-Although water is typically filtered at the resorts, you're encouraged to only drink the bottled water provided (not out of the faucet).

-There are kids clubs (4yo- 12 yo) and teens clubs (13yo- 17yo) available for no additional charge with daily activities in the afternoon until 11 pm.

-The legal adult age (for drinking and or serving alcohol, etc) in Mexico is 17 years old.

Tips for Resort Access

-Alcohol, drinks, food, and snack bars are all included. However, there are other amenities you can add for additional charges (ex, lobster, premium top-shelf alcohol, specialized hibachi, etc)

-All pool water seems to be one level (about 3-4 feet) throughout the resort (for the non-swimmers)

-The morning of, make reservations for the most popular restaurants for dinner.

In our opinion, here are the best food options:

Taj (Indian cuisine)- Chicken or Shrimp masala; chicken or shrimp curry (a good spice)

Zen (Asian cuisine)- Starters: Miso soup, shrimp tempura (small portions); Teriyaki Chicken; Japanese fried chicken

Gourmet Marche (Traditional/ American buffet)- black rice, fish, lamb, mashed potatoes

Gratzi (Italian)- Shrimp Alfredo, Snapper

Best mixed cocktails: La Paloma & Pina Colada

*Keep in mind, you may order as much as you want from the menu (pay attention to the items that cost).
